Self-reliance is a value in our culture. We're often fiercely independent people. Yet part of the blessing God intends to give us is through the church with folks who will stand with us in each of our individual battles - if we'll let them and if in our time of peace we'll jump into the battle with our brothers and sisters. If we want to hear the coveted words, "Well done good and faithful servant." the Bible instructs us to run the race together.
