Teens Featured

About a month ago, the teens embarked on their first ever "Teen Mission Week" and they did a wonderful job showing up and serving our community. But it largely goes unnoticed as meaningful work often does. That's why I'd like to point out that this week, the Pregnancy Center of Lapeer sent out their monthly newsletter thanking our team for the work they did during missions week. We appreciate their recognition and gratitude! You can view it here.

Prayer Requests

This week we had more-than-usual hospital admissions that kept us on our toes. Thank you for faithfully praying for one-another. Here are the latest updates that we have:

Bob Rogers:

Admitted to the hospital this past Sunday with some chest pains and other issues going on. He was discharged on Thursday, August 15 and is now home recovering with some appointments in the future. We are providing a meal train while he recovers over the next week. If you'd like to help with that, please see our Facebook group or contact Lynn Ludwig or the church office.

Amanda Ludwig:

She was admitted this past Monday to Detroit Children's Hospital with some heart issues. She was discharged on Wednesday and is doing much better.

We are continuing to pray for:

  • Wanda Blitz: In hospice care at Suncrest.
  • Audrey Carithers: Recovery from recent illness
  • Monna Jasper: Recovery from an ongoing infection
  • Chuck Drake: Recovery from knee surgery
  • Randy Miller: Blood cancer
Let us know how we can pray for you...

We have multiple ways you can get a prayer request to us:

  • Download the church app and submit a request to the prayer wall
  • Fill out a prayer card on Sunday morning or online
  • Call your elder or the church office (810) 969-4848

We want to respect your privacy but we also want to pray with you for whatever concern is going on in your life. These are the best ways to let us know that we have your permission to tell the church what's going on in your life.

Church Projects

Over the last several weeks, we've had a few projects completed at the church.

  • Carl Ludwig, Al Ludwig, and Chaz Armstrong took down the shutters off the building so they could be repainted. Meanwhile, Jessica Drake came by with a powerwasher and cleaned up the building.
  • In addition to that, Sandy and Jessica Drake had some extra mulch from a recent job and donated to the church. Carl, Shirley and Amanda Ludwig took the time to spread it around the building for us making our flower beds and grounds look crisp!
  • And after years of fighting with the air conditioning in the church, we contracted Kapala Heating and Cooling to make some modifications to our system and last Sunday, we were comfortable in service on a hot Sunday morning (should help with heating in the winter too!).
